Experiment with Cool Result

I was messing around and this happened. I thought this looked pretty cool. What do you think?

Christmas Art

I've been doing these random digital cards the past few days. I thought it would be nice to share them.

Otis Meets Chuppy

I guess I couldn't resist after just one. I drew a quick chaotic of Otis holding Chuppy like I do. Cool, huh?

My Squishy Buddy

I'd like to introduce y'all to a very special buddy of mine. Who's been there through all my painful, stressful, anxiety-ridden, and depression days. This is Mr. Pokeynope, my Koala Squishy.

A.K.A.: The Chalupacabra, Chalupa, Chuppa, Chuppy, and Crunchwrap (only when flattened).

Experimental Template Image 2

Something I've been feeling lately. If you're offended.... oh well. Life will continue to move on regardless.
It's basically a small drawing of a person sitting in blissful quiet and thinking of things she enjoys while NOT engaging in the bull-crap on social media.

Experimental Template Image 1

I was practicing on a comic template today. I was trying to go for more realism, but I couldn't quite escape the usual cartoon style. I only copied the image zoomed in, because it's actually quite small. Also explaining why you actually see my paint program. What do you think?

Happy Spooky Times from Otis

I watched a couple videos of a guy coloring in a Disney coloring book making them scary. His skill is amazing and very detailed. His name is Jordan Persegati and he's on Youtube. I recommend him, but you may need a strong stomach. Pretty messed up. Anyway, his coloring inspired me, so I tried my hand at more detailed coloring. I didn't have a plan, so I started with Otis Diggz; my beloved HTWM mascot. What do you think?

I did say October :)

Hello everyone. I am back in the art world after moving into the new place and slowly getting things sorted; which still continues to be a long process. I have a couple things here for you.

1. RCCC Doodles:

While working at RC Comic Con, we were all encouraged to contribute some art. Through a four-day weekend, I doodled six pieces. Most of them featuring Otis Diggz. At the end, they were gifted to our previous manager whom couldn't make it this year, because she was sick with Covid.

2. A Psychonauts style experiment:

I was thinking about one of my favorite games and that I haven't drawn in a good while. This flashed into my mind for a brief moment and I felt compelled to at least try and see if I could draw that day. All nameless, genderless characters with flashing eyes and varying in cool to cold colors. I'm quite pleased with how it turned out, especially since I was a bit rusty.

A Beautiful Gift to Myself

I'm working Comic Con in a little over a week. I was looking forward to meeting Wendy and Richard Pini who are responsible for one of my top favorite comics; Elfquest. Unfortunately, they cancelled due to Covid. Bummer, but a smart move on their part. On a second note, I very much want to make my own Pink ragdoll from Pink Floyd the Wall. That may not happen for quite a while. So in a sudden spark of inspiration, I gifted myself an Elfquest self-portrait carrying my own Pink ragdoll. In my personal opinion, it turned out beautifully and I'm in love 💖.

New comic sketch. More experimentation and chaos.

While toying with cartoon styles, this piece rose from the pile. The comic sketches are back.

New Announcement and Art Piece

For those who can't read the handwriting, I've been having trouble with anxiety and stress.
So I recruited Charlie the Panther and Helpy Bear (my favorite stuffies) for emotional support.

Mascot Introduction (at last..)

Meet the HTWM Blog mascot, Otis Diggz! Always changing, yet staying the same lol.

Hello all, here in the previously unreleased art I gave as gifts last week. All very well-received.

My bro likes skulls and weird art.

One of my favorite memories with Nico is watching this old Japanese horror film called Hausu together.

I just wanted to paint a simple purple flower; no specific type. The colors of the background come from the Trans flag. Gramma loves it.

Sunday, July 25, 2021

Hey everyone. It's been a while since I've hand-drawn anything. I drew up a mood chart for myself using my little mascot to represent all 12 moods present. I used pencil, black sharpie (fine and thick), and colored pencils for the chart. As for what to use to mark the moods of the day (two should suffice), I used a boxcutter on a couple magnets. I cut the frame off both of them to use for such a purpose. I'm very pleased with the end result and fully intend to use it. What do you think?

YAY! New cover!! Happiness abounding, I finally have a new blog cover and I love how it turned out. So pretty and proud; just like me! xD

Also, here's a new piece I did hours after debuting the new cover.

The experiments continue and the chaos reigns supreme.

Trying to find the right size for a new cover has become more difficult than expected. I am, however, enjoying the chaotic doodles and colors. It's fun, it's freeing, and there's no pressure in chaos.

I'm getting closer, I can feel it. So very close. I hope you're enjoying the chaos.

Saturday, July 10, 2021

I will figure this out one day. I guess for now, you'll be getting chaotic cover attempts.

Yet another cover fail. Maybe they're just way too big. Either way, here's another insane piece.

Friday, July 9, 2021

I tried to make this a new cover, but it isn't working for some reason. So I guess it'll be a new post of weirdness instead.

Thursday, June 24, 2021

Hello, I decided to paint during my process of healing from dental surgery. I painted the background ages ago without much of a plan. Last night, I painted a red rose and it turned out beautifully. This is a gift to a special friend. Not sure when she'll get it yet, but I can't wait. What do you think?

(She doesn't actively look at my blog.)

Friday, June 11, 2021

Hello! I have a new post today. I was inspired by many things! Bones! Blood! The dark and artsy. The messed-up and beautiful. All while listening to Pink Floyd the Wall! This is a birthday gift to a friend and the reception is very positive! It's very freaky, but I think it's one of my best pieces so far.

I was fooling around without a plan and decided to do bubble panels. I just let myself go nuts and not think at all. Here's the result.

I had a little more in me today, so I revisited another charcoal piece I did in 2015. I didn't have a plan, just a vague image that flashed in my head. I hope you approve.

In the spirit of Pride Month, I drew these adorable little characters as representations of as many Pride Flags as I could fit on this page. I hope you find it adorable and a little crazy.

Happy Pride Month everyone!

Back in October 2015, I posted an odd, charcoal still-life drawing of a mannequin, a bunny statue, a bottle, and other things on a table. Out of boredom, I turned that still-life into something more sinister.

Today, while listening to two Creepypastas on Youtube, I revisited the old piece. I left out a couple things, did some coloring, and managed to make it more messed-up while under the influence of scary stories.

Sunday, May 30, 2021

Hello everyone, just a quick update; no art this time. First off, I did a bit of a clean-up on the blog. I removed all the food posts and apology posts for not posting. I found them pointless, triggering, and super cringey. I have wanted to do this for a while now, but refrained from doing so because I found it important to look back at my past. However, the food  and apology posts just left a bad taste in my mouth.

Secondly, there are art pieces I have yet to post because they are gifts for relatives and friends. In order to keep them from being revealed too early, I will refrain from posting until after they have been received. I'd say they'll appear early to mid-August. There will continue to be art posting since I seem to spend almost every day doodling. Just thought I'd let y'all know what's up. Thanks.

When I drew this, I had a person in mind and intended this as a gift. However, the result left me unsure and I decided to just post this and try again another time. I also streamed it for my friends to watch on Discord, which affected my point-of-view and general attitude. I'm happy with how it turned out, but it isn't meant for its original intention. At least in my opinion. What do you think? Would you hang this on your wall?

Yet another graffiti piece and it was inspired by one of my favorite cartoons, "Ed, Edd n Eddy." Though I acknowledge that it could be better, I am still pretty happy with the end result. I'm also loving the free feeling of being messy rather than taking the extra time for neatness and realism.
